Multi-talented artist Inigo Pascual leads the first ever Billboard Philippines Top 20 for his single “Dahil Sa’yo,” making him the first OPM artist to hit the no.1 spot in the BillboardPH Charts.
Pascual’s feel-good song is the top pick in BillboardPH’s June 12 chart, composed of 20 of the most popular local tunes across all genres.
“I was emotional when I first learned the news. As a kid in the States, I’ve always dreamt of being in the Billboard charts,” shares the young singer.
The chart reflects current favorite hits of Filipinos in listenership and purchases across different platforms. According to Billboard.PH, streaming activity figures from Spotify, Apple Music and YouTube as well as download sales data from Apple iTunes rank the songs. From these sources, Nielsen Music collated to arrive at an average data to determine the final list of hits and hit makers.
Pascual wrote the song “Dahil Sa’yo,” the carrier single of the eponymous album (Star Music). It has become a certified hit among today’s listeners since its October 2016 release.
The young singer’s chart-topping single is also included in BillboardPH’s Hot 100, ranking no. 21 in the most popular local and international songs of the same period.

Meanwhile, three of Jona’s songs—“Pusong Ligaw,” “Maghihintay Ako,” and “You”—also made it to the first BillboardPH Top 20 Charts released on June 12, making the power belter the first Filipino artist to achieve such a feat in the highly anticipated music charts.
The Kapamilya singer shares that when she learned that BillboardPH was coming up with their own charts, she only wished that one of her songs would get included. “I’m so thankful that not just one, but three made it. I’m grateful for the fans who continue to listen to my songs.”
Jona’s “Pusong Ligaw” is the biggest winner, ranking no. 3 in the first BillboardPH Charts. This is the theme song of the hit ABS-CBN afternoon teleserye with the same title.
“Maghihintay Ako,” ranked no. 6, is the track the Birit Queen member interpreted for Himig Handog P-pop Love Songs in 2016, while the song “You,” which is part of the “My Ex and Whys” movie soundtrack, is ranked no. 9.
All three songs are included in Jona’s self-titled album released in February this year, her first album under Star Music.
