2 barangay captains, 2 others yield explosives, guns in Ilocos Sur

Two barangay chairmen and two other civilians on Saturday surrendered unlicensed guns and explosives to police authorities in Ilocos Sur police headquarters.
Bienvenido Tumacdang, 65, barangay chair of Madarang, Salcedo town yielded one Cal. 22, a short firearm with no serial number, markings, and ammunition.
In Brgy Bongtolan, Vigan City, Geronimo Arde, 73, also surrendered to Vigan PNP one homemade Buck Shot with no make and serial number. The unlicensed firearm was surrendered to him by a resident in his area.
In Naguiddayan, Bantay, Alfred Zabat, manager of Gandara Junkshop, surrendered two explosives, which he claimed were retrieved by his workers while cleaning the junkshop.
Also, Fernando Ragudo of Brgy. Mambug, Burgos, surrendered to police a rifle grenade which he allegedly discovered somewhere in their area.
