Foodies should be ready to embark on this year's culinary journey through Asia as the Asian Eats Food Festival takes off today.
Running until April 30, food lovers can indulge in a curated mix of Asian cuisine at the Grand Atrium of Shangri-La Plaza in Mandaluyong City, organized in collaboration between Asia Society Philippines and several Asian embassies in Manila.
It is a fact that food is a universal language that can offer a glimpse into a country's culture and heritage.
This flavorful event is thus the perfect opportunity to explore Asia's diverse and delicious cuisines all in one place.
With a carefully selected lineup of merchants and vendors, Asian Eats 2023 promises to satisfy every craving for authentic Asian cuisine.
Some of the most exciting vendors at the event include Chef Myke “Tatung” Sarthou's TinDeli, The Thai Plate, ChaTruMue, Flavours Indian and Mediterranean Cuisine, Kaya, and the Embassy of the Lao People's Democratic Republic, to name just a few.
From the aromatic spices of Indian cuisine to the bold flavors of Laotian dishes, there's something for everyone at this food fest.
The fun doesn't stop with eating, by the way. Visitors can also enjoy cultural performances and cooking demonstrations on the main stage.
Chef Sarthou, an award-winning chef, best-selling author, and culinary heritage advocate, will also share his tips and tricks for making cooking simple on April 29 at 4:30 p.m. For each day of the festival, the Korean Cultural Center of the Philippines, the Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia, and Prof. Carlito Camahalan Amalla with the Tinampuso will take center stage with cultural performances that give a glimpse into the rich culture and traditions of South Korea, Indonesia, and the Philippines, respectively.
Finally, there are also exciting booths and activities to check out, including the HSBC booth, where cardholders and credit card applicants can win prizes, and the NOM booth, the country's first-ever food community platform where visitors can share their cooking, dining, and culinary travel experiences.
