COTABATO CITY – Five members of the Dawlah Islamiyah-Hassan Group surrendered to the military in Maguindanao del Sur on Tuesday, March 11.

Lt. Col. Loqui Marco, 90th Infantry Battalion commander, identified the surrenderers as Humidi Salipudin, Jonathan Kamsa, Durham Angas, Nurhan Sabptulah, and Salahuddin Saptula.
They were presented to Brig. Gen. Edgar Catu, commander of the 601st Brigade, in a ceremony at the brigade headquarters in Barangay Kamasi, Ampatuan town, Maguindanao del Sur.
The surrenderers turned over five high-powered firearms and received cash, rice assistance, and agricultural inputs from the provincial government.
Catu thanked the provincial government, the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao-Ministry of Public Order and Safety, the BARMM-Ministry of Agriculture, and other stakeholders for supporting the military’s disarmament program.
