All kinds of love, and how people find them, are the latest offering of ABS-CBN Entertainment's online anthology, “Love Bites.”
Every week, the audience will get to follow eight different kids of love stories featuring Dimples Romana, Miko Raval, Karina Bautista, Vivoree Esclito, Kobie Brown, Andi Abaya, and many more.
According to Romana, who will appear in “Letters for Leah” with Raval, Lance Carr, and Angelica Lao, these kinds of short stories inspire viewers by leaving a mark on them.
“Naiisip ko na meron kinds of love gaya nitong short stories na ito na it gets stuck on you and it just grows on you. Meron mga kilig at pagmamahal na ambilis bilis lang dumaan sa iyo pero it may have lasting effect,” she said about the concept of the story.
All inclusive, the anthology will also feature boys love and girls love episodes. Sky Quizon, Nico Antonio, Genesis Redido, Angela Trajano, Kristof Garcia, Khyza Villalino, and Concon Felix expressed their gratitude for being included in these special stories.
“Kami nina Kuya Nico, at Genesis, we are trying to normalize it. Yes, BL is a genre. Sa tulong ng RCD Narratives, we try to normalize it na it's just love. It's not based on gender. Kung ano ang nae-experience ng straight people, na-experience ng lahat,” said Quizon who star in “He must Choose.”
Redido, on the other hand, has a more personal reason in accepting the role — he is a proud brother to his transgender sister, Angela Trajano.
“Sobrang proud ako na gumaganap ako ng boys love dahil natutulungan yung kapatid ko na si Angela. Siya talaga yung rason kung bakit ko tinatanggap ito. Ito yung bagay na na-ireregalo ko sa kanya para ma-normalize ito o mawala yung diskriminasyon,” he shared.
Quizon, Antonio, Redido's “He Must Choose,” Trajano and Garcia's “Hearts of Pride,” and Villalino at Felix's “First Love, Last Love,” viewers should watch out for Karina Bautista and Gello Marquez's “One Post Away,” Andi Abaya and Kobie Brown's “Miss Astrologer,” and JC Alcantara and Shanaia Gomez's “TOTGA.”
The anthology's first episode “Lost And Found” starring Vivoree Esclito and Anthony Jennings is still available for streaming.
“Love Bites” is directed by Kevin Alambra and Dado Lumibao. The anthology is part of the Made for YouTube offerings and also produced by RCD Narratives.
New episode drops every Friday at 8 p.m. on ABS-CBN Entertainment's YouTube channel.
