JC Cares Foundation celebrated Christmas season with the residents of Kanlungan ni Maria Home for the Aged Inc.
The JC Cares Foundation started with a mission to give back the success that JC Premiere Business International Inc. has received for the past years with altruism and generosity as its driving force.
Founded in 2013, Jonathan So, president and chief executive officer, and Carlito Macadangdang, vice president and chief finance officer, continue to carry out their humble mission in accordance with JC’s corporate social responsibilities, ensuring that the company through its social organization arm, JC Cares Foundation, gives back in building communities.
From helping individuals who were affected by the aftermath of super typhoon Yolanda (Haiyan) that struck the Visayas region in 2013 to simple gestures of feeding the homeless and supporting a home for the aged, JC Cares Foundation has been fulfilling its mission and will continue to do so in the coming years.
As part of its continuing project last Christmas season, JC Cares Foundation provided assistance to Kanlungan ni Maria Home for the Aged Inc. by donating essential maintenance medications and supplements, groceries, hygiene kits, food and JC products, CopperMask, Calvit-C, and together with Siomai King, Mang Bok’s and Toktok as the project’s delivery service provider.

The Antipolo-based Kanlungan ni Maria is a non-profit, non-stock and non-government organization that continuously provide geriatric care to destitute elderlies since 2002 under the guidance of the Diocese of Antipolo. Currently, the institution takes care of 21 elderlies who were abandoned and surrendered by their families who can’t provide further care.

JC Cares Foundation was more than willing to give support to the home for the aged on 28 December 2020 when JC Cares Foundation volunteers and staff facilitated the turnover of donations and to personally meet the elderlies.
Due to the pandemic and the elderlies’ vulnerability, the JC Cares Foundation volunteers and staff underwent nasopharyngeal swab for rapid antigen test and observed strict health protocols imposed by the Department of Health and the facility. The JC Cares Foundation volunteers and staff spearheaded the said turnover and the donations were accepted by Sister Marivic L. Caliso, SHC, as representative of Kanlungan ni Maria.
The JC Cares Foundation Marketing staff and volunteers, together with the elderlies and Kanlungan ni Maria staff had the chance to take pictures while distancing themselves from each other in observance of health protocols.
The JC Cares Foundation volunteers and staff were welcomed by a warm song sang by the elderlies themselves to express their gratitude to the team. After the successful activity, the elderlies also bid the JC Cares Foundation team their farewells with joy and laughter. Hopefully, JC Cares Foundation had filled some of the voids in their hearts and made them joyful this Christmas season.
