Central Visayas dethrones NCR to become new king in Palarong Pambansa secondary boys basketball

Jared Bahay came through when it mattered most, towing Central Visayas past erstwhile champ NCR, 77-73, as they became the new king in the Palarong Pambansa secondary boys basketball tourney at the Marikina Sports Center on Saturday, August 5.

Bahay drilled an off the bank long two jumper to give the Central Visayas, represented by Sacred Heart School – Ateneo de Cebu, a 75-73 lead, with 38 ticks left.

After a botched possession by NCR, represented by Nazareth School of National University, Bahay got fouled and missed both his free throws.

Fortunately for Ateneo, Josh Go rose for the putback that sealed the win for the Magis Eagles in the last 2.4 seconds.
