MANILA, Philippines — After producing their second MVP and a runner-up finish in just a year span, the Cignal Super Spikers’ future should look bright.
“We’re hoping to perform better,” said Cignal coach Shaq delos Santos after falling short of claiming the club’s breakthrough crown following a PVL All-Filipino Conference finals sweep at the hands of Creamline Thursday at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.
Under delos Santos’ expert guidance, the Manny V. Pangilinan franchise made an MVP in both Vanie Gandler this conference and Erika Santos in last year’s PVL on Tour — a pair of feats that speaks volume of how the team has defied overwhelming odds.
But when asked what the future brings for the proud squad, Delos Santos said it's up to management.
“We will be having a meeting soon,” he said.
