Cojuangco sisters’ favorites in FrancisFest  SpectaculART Auction

I saw them grow up, each pursuing a career or interest through the wonderful times of their lives, while blossoming into the beautiful and accomplished women they are today.

All five Cojuangco girls, daughters of Peping and Tingting — who, in her youth, landed in Harper Bazaar’s List of Beautiful Women of the World — have indeed come into their own.

The eldest, Luisita “Liaa” C. Bautista, is a well-loved and respected pediatrician at the Makati Medical Center.

Madrid Montage”‘Madrid has always been a happy destination.”

The Temple Garden “It has a feel of serenity.”

Mikaela Maria Antonia “Mikee” C. Jaworski is the first woman to make it to the World Olympic Committee and herself an Asian Games Equestrian gold medalist.

Obelisk Time “I would love to be a character in this adventure movie.”

Margarita Demetria “Mai Mai” Cojuangco quietly yet resolutely pursues her international bag designing career and travels between Manila and Florence, both alternating as her first and second homes.

Knabe Parlor grand piano

“I love music, and my daughter has just begun taking piano lessons. This is something we would both appreciate (and use) at home.”

Black jade ring with diamonds

“I don’t own a piece of jewelry with a black gem, and I’ve always wanted one. I think I could mix a statement piece like this with my other things.”

Jade leaves brooch “I love the color green, and this would look great worn with my casual jackets.”

Classic bar by Designs Ligna “My new apartment is empty and I can see this looking great in it.”

Regina Patricia “China” Cojuangco is a celebrity chef whose pastries are especially favored by her equally famous clients.

Lovely Day by Daisy Tempongco “The mix of colors and flowers go so well together, really shows the subjects and the artists are having a lovely day.”

Maranao chest from the collection of Tingting Cojuangco. “Having a chest is like, the elder generations would comfortably say, ‘Nasa baul…’ This is a great collector’s piece where you can place memorabilia… My wedding gown is placed in a baul.”

Leather bracelet with diamonds “Hip and chic with expensive touch of diamonds. I would imagine it looking beautifully mixed with Cartier love bracelets, tennis bracelets and OOTD arm candy.”

Vintage oakwood drawers “Classic furniture for your bright or light- colored room. Vintage never goes out of style.”

The second of the brood, Josephine “Pin” C. Guingona, is the entrepreneur who gives as much of her time to community efforts in Tarlac and in Dasmariñas Village.

On her second year with the SpectaculART auction of the Santuario de San Antonio Parish in Makati, Pin asked her sisters to recommend to would-be bidders what they themselves admire among the treasures up for auction. Interestingly, Pin’s daughter, lawyer Ina and Pin’s better half, Jojo, are assisting her in this godly endeavor, with Jojo himself donating his own art work to this neighborly exercise in generosity.

On this page, get a glimpse of the recommendations of Liaa, Mikee, Mai Mai and China, sisters who grew up in their parents’ treasure-filled homes, travelers who have been to the world’s premier galleries and museums, and are creators of their own arts in various levels of creativity, each explaining why even they would want the pieces for themselves.

For more of these art works and ornaments for auction, visit www.spectaculartph.com. Online bidding, up to 3 October, is at www.spectaculartph.com.
