Dave Ildefonso’s debut game for the Suwon KT Sonicboom has been delayed, according to a report.

The Ateneo star was set to see his first action in the Korean Basketball League on Friday, Jan. 6, against the Rhenz Abando-led Anyang KGC.

However, there appeared to be a problem with his documents which needed to be resolved before he could clock in some minutes for the seventh-running team in the league.

Just two days ago, the 6-foot-3 forward joined Suwon in practice to prepare for his supposed debut with the team.

At press time, the Suwon has managed to put itself on top of the league-leading Anyang at the half.

After wrapping up his final year in the UAAP with a championship for Ateneo, the 22-year-old Ildefonso announced his leap to the KBL on a two-year deal.

KT Sonicboom head coach Seo Deong-chol, on the other hand, has reportedly expressed his excitement to have a “quick learner” in Ildefonso, who is set to play shooting guard for the team.
