Compared to the logged number of Covid-19 cases from May 23 to 29, the average daily rate from May 30 to June 5 is 1.4 percent lower.
This was according to the weekly Covid-19 data of the country released by the Department of Health (DOH) on Monday, June 6, noting that the average daily rate in the recent week is 185.
Per the data of the Department of Health (DOH), a total of 1,295 new Covid-19 cases have been recorded from May 30 to June 5. Of the said number, 16 individuals reportedly have severe and critical cases.
Meanwhile, the week before it—May 23 to 29—had recorded 1,317 cases, having an average daily rate of 188.
As of June 5, the DOH said 599 patients with severe and critical cases of Covid-19 have been admitted to hospitals.
The health department noted that of the 2,632 intensive care unit (ICU) beds, only 14.7 percent or 386 beds were occupied.
It noted that only 18.1 percent have been utilized of the 22,245 non-ICU Covid-19 beds.
The health department has urged the public to keep on practicing minimum health and safety protocols to stop the transmission of Covid-19.
