Canadian rapper Drake put his money where his heart is with a $500,000 bet on the Edmonton Oilers to win the 2024 Stanley Cup final.

Drake announced his bet, in Edmonton’s series against the Florida Panthers, on his Instagram account Thursday. He shared a screenshot of the half-million-dollar bet on gambling website Stake to his more-than 146 million followers.

The rap star also shared a screenshot in the same post of his $500,000 wager on the Dallas Mavericks to win this year’s NBA finals against the Boston Celtics.

Canadian rapper Drake placed a $500,000 bet on the Edmonton Oilers to win the NHL Stanley Cup against the Florida Panthers. He posted a screenshot of his wager on his Instagram account.

“Dallas cause I’m a Texan,” Drake wrote in his post’s caption, explaining his choice of the Mavericks.

“Oilers are self explanatory,” he said of the last Canadian hockey team in this year’s playoffs.

Drake’s estimated payout of his bet, if the Oilers win, would be over $1 million, racking in about $2.4 million if both the Oilers and Mavericks win titles.

The five-time Grammy winner is known to post screenshots of his big-money bets on his Instagram — but lately, he’s been hit-and-miss.

In January, he lost a $700,000 bet on Sean Strickland to defeat Dricus Du Plessis at UFC 297 in Toronto.

A month later he pocketed nearly $1.2 million betting on the Kansas City Chiefs to win the Super Bowl this fast February.

The battle for the Stanley Cup between the Oilers and the Panthers begins on Saturday in Florida in a best-of-seven series.
