MANILA, Philippines — Three-time PBA Best Import Allen Durham proved to be a big thorn for Filipino ace Thirdy Ravena and his teammates as Niigata Albirex BB scored an 86-79 road win over San-En NeoPhoenix in the Japan B. League at the Toyohashi City General Gymnasium yesterday.
The resident Meralco Bolts reinforcement pumped in 17 markers and 11 rebounds for Niigata, which snapped San-En’s three-game winning run at home.
The 23-year-old Ateneo stalwart had 10 points and four rebounds for NeoPhoenix, which escaped Durham and Niigata in their first match on Saturday, 85-81.
Ravena, son of TNT Tropang Giga mentor Bong and brother of NLEX Road Warriors star Kiefer, is the first Filipino import in the B. League. He has been named to the B. League All Star Game set early next year in Mito, Japan.
His squad NeoPhoenix dropped to 5-18 while Durham and Niigata improved to 7-16.
