Ex-NBA big man Bol Bol reinforces TNT for PBA Commissioner’s Cup

MANILA, Philippines — It is official.

Former NBA role player Bol Bol has arrived in the Philippines and will be the import of the TNT Tropang 5G for the upcoming PBA Commissioner’s Cup, the team announced Thursday.

The 7-foot-3 Bol, son of former NBA star Manute, will definitely shore up the frontline of TNT in the import-laden conference.

He was one of the top collegiate basketball players during his time with the Oregon Ducks, but he injured his left foot and missed the rest of the season.

The 26-year-old South Sudanese-American professional basketball player was the 44th overall pick of the 2019 NBA Draft by the Miami Heat.

Later, his rights were traded to the Denver Nuggets, and also had stints with the Orlando Magic and the Phoenix Suns.

Overall, Bol started 45 of his 202 games in the NBA and had averages of 6.2 points, 3.5 rebounds and 0.8 blocks a contest.

And now, Bol will be suiting up for the Tropang 5G as resident star import Rondae Hollis-Jefferson is still recovering from a torn Achilles tendon.

He will be bringing his freakish length and athleticism, as well as a soft touch from the perimeter, to the Philippines.

The Commissioner’s Cup will kick off in March.
