MANILA, Philippines — Filipino guard Andy Gemao will continue to represent the Philippines overseas, as he earned a selection to the adidas Eurocamp in Italy later this week.
This year’s Eurocamp, which will be the 19th edition, will be held in Treviso, Italy from June 5-7.
It is regarded as one of the top pre-draft camps outside United States, and it brings together elite athletes aged 18-22 across the globe to train, compete and gain exposure on a global stage.
And Gemao, who recently committed to Penn State Nittany Lions in the NCAA Division I, will be among the elite ballers in the camp.
“His selection to adidas Eurocamp marks a significant milestone in a long-term partnership, underscoring adidas’ commitment to identifying and nurturing Filipino basketball talent from an early stage,” adidas said in a statement.
Among those who will be the camp’s guests are NBA players Franz Wagner of the Orlando Magic, and Eurocamp alumni Bogdan Bogdanovic and VJ Edgecombe.
“These players will engage directly with campers, sharing insights from their journeys to the NBA and offering guidance on what it takes to succeed at the highest level of international basketball,” adidas said.
The camp will be led by coaching director Bill Bayno and scouting director Gianluca Pascucci.
It will bring together multiple development pathways, including draft-eligible prospects, 3SSB athletes, NBL Next Stars, and top performers from the NextGen EuroLeague and global emerging markets.
