First-round picks Caelan Tiongson and Jerom Lastimosa were the latest batch of rookies to finally sign deals with their respective teams.
Tiongson, who was picked by Rain or Shine as the seventh overall, inked a three-year deal, the team announced on Sunday, July 28.
The 32-year-old forward was the last rookie signed by the Elasto Painters after already inking fellow first rounder Felix Lemetti and second round pick Francis Escandor to separate deals.
Tiongson was fresh off a gold medal run with SGA-Pilipinas in the Jones Cup and immediately joined the Elasto Painters in Davao where the team is currently seeing action in the Kadayawan Invitational tournament.
Present in the signing was head coach Yeng Guiao along with assistant coach Caloy Garcia and Rain or Shine alternate governor Edison Orbiana.
Lastimosa, on the other hand, was also signed to a three-year contract by Magnolia last Friday, July 26.
The Hotshots picked the former Adamson star as ninth overall in the draft despite still recovering from an ACL injury he sustained in his final year with the Falcons in 2023.
Still, the signing marked a changing of guards for the Purefoods franchise after letting go of long-time playmaker Jio Jalalon to NorthPort to get its hands on promising sophomore Zavier Lucero.
In attendance during the signing was Magnolia head coach Chito Victolero and team manager Alvin Patrimonio.
