The recently held Golden Globe Awards may not be as extravagant as its pre-pandemic editions but glamor still radicated even if most of the nominees and guests were seen in their respective homes.
Ted Lasso star Jason Sudeikis wore a hoodie as he received his award for Best Performance by an Actor in a Television Series Musical or Comedy. He substituted his trophy for a succulent.
Surprisingly, that in itself symbolizes the past year’s happenings. The glammed-up guys and dolls in the four walls of their homes (or hotel rooms) proved that fashion is a choice and way of life and people can still come together even when they are apart.
Here’s a rundown of some of the most iconic quarantine mode looks at the Golden Globe Awards 2021.
Jason Sudeikis may not have donned his formal outfit but Jason Sudeikis is everyone’s 2020 spirit animal and fashion icon because of the succulent and his hoodie. Jason bagged an award for best actor in a TV series music and comedy.
Kate Hudson is the epitome of “wear the dress, don’t let the dress wear you” as she looked fierce in a custom black Louis Vuitton silk gown with draped sleeves, embellished bodice and belted waist completed with diamond snake earrings from Bulgari. She was nominated for Best Actress in a Motion Picture for her role in Music.
Julia Garner depicted Helen of Troy in a white Prada dress with a satin black deep plunging neckline that caps on the black details on the waist. She was nominated for Best Supporting Actress in a Television Series for her role in Ozark.

She channeled her character in Emily in Paris where she scored a Golden Globes nod for Best Actress in a Musical or Comedy TV series.
Anya Taylor-Joy Three hundred hours of stitching and dress-making paid off when Anya Taylor-Joy wore an exquisite emerald green Dior Haute Couture ensemble that made the hearts of every fashion enthusiast flutter. She paired it with a Golden Globe award for Best Actress in a Miniseries or Motion Picture for TV for her role in The Queen’s Gambit.

Leslie Odom Jr. is living proof that men can wear bright colors during formal events. The One Night in Miami star and his stylist Avo Yermagyan opted for a pale rose poplin oversized shirt and a neon-green viscose cady turtleneck for the top and a chocolate brown trompe l’oeil-print wool for the bottoms — all of which are pieces from Valentino’s Spring/Summer 2021 haute couture collection. He even matched his clothes with the pink-gold Bulgari Octo Roma watch.

Josh O’Connor portrayed Prince Charles and won a Golden Globe at that, but he didn’t stray from his monarchical roots and opted to go way back for a Prince Albert-inspired custom Loewe two-button black jacket with white lapels, white loose-fitting trousers and a silk cravat in replacement for a tie. Very fitting since he bagged the award for Best Actor in a Drama TV Series.
