BAGUIO CITY – The Covid 19 isolation units of the four private hospitals of Baguio City are now fully occupied.
The Saint Louis UniversityHospital of the Sacred Heart was first to announce that it could no longer accommodate new Covid-19 patients. The hospital made the announcement on Good Friday.
On April 3, 2021, three other private hospitals also bared that they too have reached full capacity. They were the Baguio Medical Center (BMC), Pines City Doctor’s Hospital (PSDH), and the Notre Dame Chartres Hospital.
The hospitals stated that a number of their Covid 19 patients are still in their respective emergency rooms and still awaiting slots in the facilities.
At the moment, only the Baguio General Hospital and Medical Center (BGHMC) has the capacity to admit patients. BGHMC management is again appealing to the public not to put the sacrifices of medical frontliners in vain, thus, should always follow the health protocols.
As of 6 p.m. Saturday, Baguio City has listed 119 cases and two Covid-related deaths. The city has now a total of 7, 934 confirmed cases with 951 active cases, 6, 852 recoveries and 131 Covid-related deaths.
