After the success of their “Domination” concert tour last year — which saw stops in Manila, the Middle East, and the US — de Lana and her bandmates composed of Jon Cruz (musical director, keyboard), Jake Manalo (bass), Julius Traqueña (guitar), and Romeo Marquez (drums) are ready to rocking everyone's hearts out anew with their original songs and amazing covers that have taken the internet by storm.

“We wanted it to be as intimate as possible, yung abot kamay lang nila kami. It will be something new, tampok ang mixed emotions sa show namin. And syempre hindi mawawala ang kulitan,” De Lana said about the upcoming event during their press conference.

“The repertoire is a surprise. Gusto kasi namin may pasabog every time,” she added.

De Lana, a Star Magic talent and Rise Studio artist, introduced her self-titled debut album in 2022 that earned over 3.9 million streams on Spotify by yearend. It features the hit song “Sakalam” and the key track “O Bakit Ba.”

Also included in the album released under Star Music are soundtracks including “Akin Ka Na Lang” from the ABS-CBN series “A Family Affair;” “Sa Dulo” from “The Broken Marriage Vow;” and “Nasa'yo Ako” from “Viral Scandal.” Also part of the album is her version of “Bakit Nga Ba Mahal Kita,” the official theme song of “Hello Heart” which she starred in alongside Gerald Anderson.

Despite her solo projects, De Lana admitted that she still prefers performing with her band.

“I have experienced going solo, and it didn't work out for me. Yes, you earn more because you get to keep everything. But I never found it fulfilling, no matter how well I performed. But when I'm with the band, I always feel good after our sets. I feel inspired seeing that I get to work with these talented people. Being with the group gives me energy, it's more fulfilling,” the 27-year-old singer said.

She furthered that Gigi de Lana and the Gigi Vibes remains as one and promised not to let other members feel left behind amid her success.

“I won't leave Gigi Vibes just because of other offers. I'm not a solo singer with a band. They're not a backup band. We make decisions as a group. My band members are right not to feel worried because I don't make ever make them feel insecure,” de Lana pointed out.

Asked what she appreciates the most in her band, she said, “I appreciate their presence. Iba kasi na kahit hindi ko sila kadugo, sila mismo as a person mahal na mahal ko sila. Kahit may flaws, I just love them for who they are. I won't change anything.”

Happening at The Theatre at Solaire on February 18 at 8 p.m., join de Lana and the Gigi Vibes in the “G Rules” concert presented by ABS-CBN Events and Solaire Resort Entertainment City.
