Former Bamban, Tarlac Mayor Alice Guo is expected to arrive in the Philippines from Jakarta, Indonesia around early evening this Thursday, according to Senate Committee on Public Services chairperson Sen. Raffy Tulfo.
Tulfo said Guo is onboard a chartered flight RP-C6188, which is estimated to arrive in Manila at 6:18 PM. The plane will reportedly land at the Villamor Airbase in Pasay City.
At a Senate hearing, the Bureau of Immigration said Guo will be traveling back to Manila via a private plane.
BI Intelligence Division Chief Fortunato Manahan said all government officials and agencies involved are coordinating on this matter.
Guo will be accompanied by Interior Secretary Benjamin Abalos, Jr. and Philippine National Police (PNP) Chief Rommel Francisco Marbil as reported earlier. Guo was arrested by Indonesian authorities on Wednesday morning.
In a Facebook livestream, Abalos reported that police-to-police agreements have been signed between the Philippines and Indonesia to facilitate the transfer of Guo back to Manila.
“We are going to fetch her today. Her travel papers have been arranged. The immigration officials of the Philippines and (Indonesia) are here. Of course, we prepared her travel authority… Everything that is needed have been accomplished,” Abalos told reporters in Tagalog.
Abalos and Marbil landed at the Soekarno Hatta International airport in Jakarta last night to pick up Guo, who was under the custody of Indonesian law enforcement authorities. Guo is facing numerous complaints in connection with the illegal Philippine Offshore Gaming Operators (POGO) industry.
Marbil and Abalos left the Ninoy Aquino International Airport first at 11:20 PM on Wednesday aboard an eight-seater plane bound for Indonesia, according to the PNP.
