Hannah White shatters 4 swim records at U13 FOBISIA Games

MANILA, Philippines — Promising young athlete Hannah White broke four swimming records as she delivered a phenomenal performance at the U13 FOBISIA Games held at the Patana Sports Resort in Thailand.

Overall, the ABC International School Ho Chi Minh City standout collected an impressive 12 medals, with her four record-breaking swims standing out as the highlight of an extraordinary week of sport.

Aside from swimming, Hannah also competed in athletics, football and basketball.

“The trip has been very intense for me. This time I was able to focus more on swimming, which helped me achieve several new records," said Hannah, younger sister of Philippine national swimming team members Ruben White and Heather White.

This is Hannah’s fourth time competing at the FOBISIA Games, having previously represented her school in both the U13 and U15 age categories.

The prestigious FOBISIA Games, which bring together more than 100 British international schools across Asia, are widely regarded as one of the region’s most competitive youth sporting events.

White’s continued selection across multiple years reflects not only her consistency but also her development as one of the most promising young athletes in the international schools circuit.

Hannah also expressed her gratitude to the mentors who supported her journey. She acknowledged Andrew Smith, Director of Sports at ABC International School, for his constant encouragement and guidance as she prepared for the event.

She also thanked Jamie Dean, owner and director of English Sports Club (ESC), for with helping build her confidence in football and supporting her development as a well-rounded athlete.

Special recognition was also given to Jason and Merrick, the event’s organizers, whose professionalism, integrity and tireless support ensured the tournament ran smoothly. (Contributed story)
