More Filipinos can watch and express support for Celeste Cortesi, the country's bet to bag the Miss Universe 2022 title, with ABS-CBN's announcement it will air and stream the pageant live on A2Z Channel 11, Kapamilya Channel, Metro Channel and iWantTFC on January 15 at 9 a.m. (Philippine time).
Cortesi, who represented Pasay in the 2022 Miss Universe-Philippines pageant in April, steadily gained the top spot in the national pageant after winning several other awards, including Miss Photogenic and Best in Swimsuit.
Now, she is eyeing the crown currently held by Miss Universe 2021 Harnaaz Sandhu of India to bring a fifth Miss Universe crown home to the Philippines.
Cortesi is up against 85 queens from other countries in a grand competition taking place at the New Orleans Morial Convention Center in New Orleans, Louisiana, USA. She arrived in Los Angeles this week and is set to participate in pre-pageant activities by Monday.
Same-day replays of the pageant will be available at 10:30 p.m. on A2Z, Kapamilya Channel, Metro Channel, TV5 and iWantTFC. Metro Channel will air more repeats later in the week.
