Police Brig. Gen. Jack Wanky and Passi City Mayor Stephen Palmares joined IPPO Director Police Col. Bayani Razalan in the inauguration.

“This is strategically located in the center of Iloilo, the new site offers improved accessibility for Ilonggos and other police units in the province,” said Razalan.

“This also allows for the development of better office buildings and facilities, enhancing the IPPO’s overall efficiency,” added Razalan.

Police Major Rolando Araño, IPPO spokesperson, said there is a gradual transfer of offices and personnel from the old headquarters in Camp Sumagaysay in Santa Barbara town.

The IPPO Provincial Director’s Office and General Services Office (GSO) are in Passi City but the rest are still in Camp Sumagaysay.

When the transfer to the new headquarters in Passi City is complete, the Iloilo Provincial Mobile Force Company will occupy Camp Sumagaysay.

Several other units of the Philippine National Police (PNP) in Iloilo might transfer to Santa Barbara — the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG), the Highway Patrol Group (HPG), and the Drug Enforcement Group.
