Sorry to burst the bubble of those who are hoping for Liza Soberano to represent the country in one of the future editions of Miss Universe.
The actress has repeated what she has been saying in the past: she has no plans of joining Miss Universe.
“As much as I am flattered and grateful for all of your support and comments saying that I should give Miss Universe a try, I really don’t think it is for me,” Liza wrote on her Instagram Stories on May 17.
"I'm an introvert and stages with a huge audience scare me half to death (as ironic as it may sound)," she explained why she does not like to join Miss Universe.
Her manager, actor and TV host Ogie Diaz, reiterated what his talent has been saying in the past.
"Alam ko namang maraming nagpu-push ke Liza Soberano to join the Miss Universe-Philippines, dahil malakas kutob nila na Liza can make it. Again. thank you po," Ogie wrote on his verified Facebook page on May 17.
He clarified that the Facebook page that was alleged to be Liza's that posted the controversial statement about the actress' intention to join Miss Universe was a "fake account."
"Hindi po ganyan magsalita si Liza," he shared. "Saka noon pa sinabi na ni Liza, hindi pa sumagi sa isip niya ang sumali dahil alam niyang grabeng preparasyon commitment at dedication ang puhunan dito."
Ogie ended his post by saying thank you to those who believe in his ward's chances at the popular beauty tilt.
