Defending champion Indonesia began its back-to-back gold medal aspirations in a dominant fashion, lambasting a hapless Laos side, 141-37 in their 32nd Southeast Asian Games men's basketball match on Wednesday, May 10, at the Morodok Elephant Hall 2 in Phnom Penh, Cambodia.

Andakara Prastawa Dhyaksa led Indonesia's three-point shooting spree as he went 6-of-7 from beyond the arc en route to scoring 21 points, along with five assists and two rebounds.
Indonesia sped off to a 35-7 start in the opening period and did not look back.
Naturalized player Lester Prosper also wreaked havoc for the Timnas in his 13-minute exposure, finishing with 18 points, seven rebounds, two blocks and two steals.
Indonesia's two other naturalized players, teenage big man Dame Diagne and Anthony Beane Jr. chipped in 13 and 12 respectively as the Timnas are a cinch to top Group B.
Prosper, Diagne and Beane are expected to play bigger roles in the coming games as Indonesia intends to keep the gold medal in its possession this year.
The reigning champs, who knocked the Philippines from its lofty regional basketball throne in last year's edition in Hanoi, will shoot for a 2-0 start against Vietnam on Friday.
