MANILA, Philippines — Korean stars Kim Myung-soo or L of boy group Infinite and actor Choi Bo-min have been tapped by The Tourism Promotions Board (TPB) Philippines as new tourism ambassadors for Korea.
The artists join the TPB with a shared mission to inspire more Korean travelers to visit and explore the Philippines.
L and Bo-min were unveiled as tourism ambassadors during a December 14 event in Clark, Pampanga wearing custom creations by Avel Bacudio.
The designer from Camarines Sur created outfits made from handwoven abaca, piña, silk cocoon, and Inabel, featuring embroidery inspired by iconic Filipino elements, such as jeepneys, the Bahay Kubo, and street vendors.

The Korean stars played golf at the Beverly Place Golf Club and joined the PUMA Half Marathon event in Clark. Bo-min ran in the 5K distance while L joined TPB chief operating officer Marga Nograles onstage.
L even shared plans to visit Siargao one day and possibly bring his fellow members of Infinite, the boy band he debuted with in 2010, the next time he visits.
Both Korean stars will take part in destination tours and digital campaigns to a variety of promotional events as part of their tourism ambassador duties.
The TPB's goal is to leverage their star power and authentic love for the Philippines to inspire more Koreans to discover the country for themselves.
