Japanese Ambassador to the Philippines Koshikawa Kazuhiko is currently enjoying Boracay Island’s white sand beaches.
In a series of Twitter posts that started on Monday, Jan. 9, Kazuhiko shared his experiences on the Visayan island, which he described as “a sight to behold.”
“Its white sand and pristine waters make me want to extend my leave a little longer. Sharing you photos in my #OOTD (outfit of the day) as a plus,” he added as he also uploaded photos of him sporting a tropical polo shirt.

The Japanese diplomat, who arrived in Manila in 2020 at the height of the Covid-19 pandemic, is known for his adventurous character as he explored the country—from riding the usually-busy MRT train to travelling to Mindanao to witness its wonders.
In Boracay, Kazuhiko got to taste the Filipino delicacies and witness the culture—which he said feels like a dream.
“What’s a weekend getaway without trying out local cuisine?! You don’t get to enjoy fresh seafood dishes like this everyday! Sipping on refreshing glasses of mojito and fruit shake while enjoying the view, it all feels like a dream,” he said.
“Explorer mode, ON! Heard that Visayas is home to a lot of festivals, luckily I spotted one here. This island has so much to offer and it’s not even sunset. I feel like the festivities are just about to begin,” he added.
