The kindness of rock legend Jon Bon Jovi helped saved a woman in crisis on a Nashville bridge.

The Metropolitan Nashville Police Department praised Bon Jovi, 62, and his team for persuading the woman to come off the ledge of the bridge, releasing a video of the incident.

In it, Bon Jovi and a member of his team can be seen speaking to the woman standing on the edge of the John Seigenthaler Pedestrian Bridge above the Cumberland River in Nashville.

After a moment, they help her back over the railing, where they continue to talk to her, as Bon Jovi holds her shoulders and embraces her.
