TUBAO, La Union – Gov. Raphaelle Veronica “Rafy” Ortega-David inaugurated the P34.5-million Pideg Bridge on Wednesday, Feb. 5, that will enhance accessibility and boost economic progress here.
Construction started on April 25, 2023 and completed on Dec. 10, 2024.

The bridge is 30-meters long and has a 306 x 6.1-meter pavement and serves as an alternate route to the municipality of Rosario, La Union. It links Barangays Pideg and Francia Sur in Tubao to Barangays Bacani, Marcos, Tanglag, and Parasapas in Rosario and will eventually lead to Marcos Highway, a gateway to Baguio City.
Meanwhile, Ortega said road projects in different barangays in the province are 90 percent complete and expected to be finished this year.
She affirmed her commitment to implement infrastructure projects that will spur economic growth and improve the quality of life of the people.
