Laoag City Mayor Michael Marcos Keon on Friday endorsed the vice president bid of Sen. Christopher “Bong” Go.
“I wish to take this opportunity to endorse the candidacy of Senator Bong Go for the position of the Vice-President of the Republic of the Philippines. The reason I am doing this because I have found Senator Bong Go to be one of the most receptive, accommodating and accessible public officials that I have ever encountered in my life as a public servant,” Keon said.
Keon served as Executive Director of Gintong Alay, Governor of Ilocos Norte before elected as mayor of Laoag City.
“He has helped me and the City of Laoag by attending to our requests and going out of his way to look for appropriate solutions with dispatch and efficiency. He has a highly competent work force who are prompt, polite and accommodating. This is a reflection of his leadership capability,” Keon added.
Keon noted that Go has visited twice Ilocos Norte, particularly Laoag City.
“I was impressed by the Senator’s capability to reach out to all classes of people but especially the common man or the tao. He has an easy down to earth rapport with the masa. This man has the common touch, a great asset for a public servant. I reiterate against that Senator Bong Go has all the qualifications to run for higher officer. This man has the attributes our country needs at this time of crisis,” he noted.
