Under Hugpong, Duterte is seeking to reclaim his old mayoral post, while son Baste serves as his running mate
DAVAO CITY, Philippines – The Hugpong sa Tawong Lungsod, led by the Duterte family, will hold its final show of force on Friday, May 9.
Incumbent Mayor Sebastian Duterte will lead the miting de avance that will be held in Davao City, while their patriarch Rodrigo is detained in The Hague, Netherlands over his crimes against humanity case pending with the International Criminal Court.
The former president is running again as Davao City mayor, while Sebastian is his running mate. Three other Dutertes are running for local posts: Paolo for his 1st District reelection, and his sons for congressional and council races.
