[Pastilan] Our fault lines
The Earth is not our enemy. The real danger sits behind desks in airconditioned government offices, approving unsafe buildings and pocketing funds meant for safety. Every quake exposes the same fault lines in government and ignorance dressed as authority, corruption disguised as relief, and a bureaucracy allergic to science.
We pretend to be resilient while rewarding incompetence. We mistake endurance for progress. We elect science illiterates to set the policies and make laws for a country built on fractures. Then we wonder why the same tragedies keep repeating.
The ground moves because it must. The damage multiplies because we let fools and the corrupt run the country. The Earth owes us nothing. But the people we elect do. And they keep failing the test.
