The group’s leader Kairodin Datumaas says they’ve printed over 30,000 shirts since former president Rodrigo Duterte was arrested on March 11 and brought to The Hague. This is the same group of volunteers that printed shirts for free when the former Davao City mayor ran for president in 2016.

Biscuits, banana and 3-in-1 coffee greeted Emily Soriano on March 28, her 56th birthday which she is choosing to spend with her fellow ‘Nanays’ or the women whose children or husbands were killed in the name of Rodrigo Duterte’s war on drugs.

Soriano says her children cooked, and invited her fellow Nanays to come back home with her so they could all join in on a simple feast.

It’s her happiest birthday since her son was killed on December 28, 2016. On Duterte’s 80th birthday, Soriano wishes him a long life — to stand trial, she said, for all he had done.
