Former NBA Most Valuable Player James Harden debuted a sneaker that was designed by Filipino artist Juanito “Quiccs” Maiquez, Friday evening (Saturday morning, Manila time).

The Brooklyn Nets star took to the floor for Game 3 of their Eastern Conference First Round matchup against the Boston Celtics wearing a red, blue, white, and yellow colorway of his adidas Vol. 5 signature sneaker, an homage to Philippine flag.

The sneaker was the latest collaboration between adidas, and Quiccs, who recently inked a two year deal with the popular athletics and lifestyle apparel and sneaker brand.

In 2020, adidas and Quiccs worked on a line that featured clothing and footwear.

This also isn’t the first time that Quiccs has done something James Harden-related.

The new kicks appeared to do wonders for Harden, as he dropped a team-high 41 points to go along with 10 assists and 7 rebounds in the Game 3 loss to the Celtics. The Nets still lead the series, 2-1.
