MANILA, Philippines – Kiefer Ravena is in rare air.
Ravena got together with NBA great Michael Jordan and other high-profile athletes signed to the Jordan Brand, which assembled its stars for its “Board of Greatness” event in Athens, Greece, over the weekend.
The first Filipino to be signed by Jordan Brand, Ravena was able to spend time with current NBA standouts Luka Doncic and Rui Hachimura of the Los Angeles Lakers, Zion Williamson of the New Orleans Pelicans, Paolo Banchero of the Orlando Magic, Bam Adebayo and Jamie Jaquez Jr. of the Miami Heat, and Bruce Brown of the Denver Nuggets.
Retired NBA players Carmelo Anthony, Rip Hamilton, Quentin Richardson, and Mike Bibby were also part of the event.
Other invited athletes included NFL stars Jalen Hurts and Ndamukong Suh, former WNBA MVP Maya Moore, BMX rider Nigel Sylvester, and snowboarder Zeb Powell.
“I thought this was a dream. I could’ve sworn. Keep working. Put [your] head down like I did,” Ravena wrote on Facebook.
A Jordan Brand athlete since 2021, Ravena got his first player exclusive in October for the Air Jordan XXXIX.
From Greece, Ravena will head to Taiwan to join the Strong Group Athletics for its title-retention bid in the William Jones Cup. – Rappler.com
