LOOK: Senator-elect Padilla takes oath before Duterte

Actor and Senator-elect Robin Padilla took his oath as senator before President Rodrigo Duterte.

His wife, actress Mariel Rodriguez-Padilla posted several photos of the actor’s oathtaking, which was held in Malacañang, Thursday night.

Padilla was accompanied by Rodriguez, their two children Isabella and Gabriella and Padilla’s mother Lolita Eva Carino.

In the caption, Rodriguez thanked the President and wrote that Padilla would be an “amazing and effective senator.”

She also expressed her belief that Padilla “was born to be great” and destined to excel.”

Padilla won as the top senatorial candidate in the last May 9, 2022 elections.

He has expressed his preference to head the Senate Committee on Constitutional Amendments, Revision of Codes and Laws, and to pursue amendments to the 1987 Constitution in the upcoming 19th Congress.
