MANILA, Philippines — Will we see LA Tenorio back on the court once again?

With injuries to the Magnolia Hotshots, Tenorio has been activated ahead of their matchup with the TNT Tropang 5G on Sunday.

Tenorio, who coaches Magnolia, replaced Paul Lee in the roster, who has been relegated to the team’s injured / reserve list.

Tenorio has played several years for Barangay Ginebra. But before the season kicked off, he was named as the head coach of the Hotshots.

Now, he might put up the Magnolia jersey for the first time ever.

TNT head coach Chot Reyes, after the Tropang 5G’s win over the Blackwater Bossing on Friday, said they are bracing for the possibility of Tenorio suiting up on Sunday.

“It’s my job to prepare the players so that we don’t get surprised on Sunday. So that’s part of what we’re going to prepare for,” Reyes said.

“There’s a different energy, there’s a different calmness and steadiness when LA is on the floor. He might not be as quick anymore or as athletic as Jerom or as lethal as a Paul Lee, pero iba yung presence niya. It has a very calming effect,” he added.

“I know, because I’ve coached him for so long. So that’s something that we have to be prepared for.”

Magnolia also activated San Beda’s Yukien Andrada as its 15th player.

Also on Saturday, Ginebra signed up John Abis.
