Manila Bulletin and Huawei launch ‘Explore Philippines with Huawei’ photo contest

Taking photos of beautiful places is always a must when traveling in the Philippines, especially when you’re surrounded by wonderful and refreshing landmarks. As people begin to travel once again after a long period of isolation and cabin fever, the Department of Tourism (DOT), Huawei Philippines, and Manila Bulletin want you to seize the opportunity to travel and make beautiful memories, without risking your health and safety, through the “Explore Philippines with Huawei” photo contest.

Inspired by the “It’s More Fun With You” campaign of DOT, the photo contest organized by Manila Bulletin and Huawei aims to highlight the beautiful scenes found in the country as well as exhibit the awesome camera features of Huawei smartphones. In line with previous editions of Earth+Lens, this project is part of Manila Bulletin’s annual observance of Earth Day–banking on innovative use of technology to spread awareness and advocate appreciation and preservation of the environment.

Photos submitted should showcase any tourist spots, attractions, delicacies, and events across the archipelago. Pictures for the contest must be shot with a Huawei smartphone.

There are three categories to submit your works: landscapes, portraits, and macro shots. Submitted entries will be judged based on creativity, adherence to the theme, and originality. So make sure to go all-out! Participants are entitled to one raffle entry per submitted photo.

When submitting your entries, make sure that there are no duplicates submitted across different categories. Black and white photos will also not be counted.

A representative from Huawei, Manila Bulletin, DOT, and a professional photographer will decide on the winners.

On April 13, 2022, one participant from each category will be announced as the winner of the all-new Huawei P50 Pro. The three winning participants, along with others who made it to the top 12, will have their work featured on Manila Bulletin’s official Facebook page.

For other qualified entries that didn’t win, there’s still a chance to take home the Huawei P50 Pocket via raffle draw. So, what are you waiting for? Pack your bags, go around the country safely, take photos, and win a new Huawei P50.
