It was the Lady Cardinals’ second straight win in three games while snapping the Lady Bombers’ two-game run to forge identical 2-1 cards.

Alyanna Ong and Therese Manalo fired 11 points apiece for Mapua, which needed only 75 minutes in dispatching their foes.

Ong and Manalo also combined for 20 of the team’s 38 attacks, just one kill short of the overall hits from the lethargic Lady Bombers.

JRU briefly showed resistance in the second set when Dolly Versoza tied the match at 23-all.

But an attack from Mapua and an error from JRU sealed the win for the Lady Cardinals.

Carla Gaudan and Jonina Fernandez also stepped up for the Lady Cardinals with nine and seven points including four of the team’s six aces.

None from JRU scored in twin figures with Sydney Niegos and Dolly Versoza managing only seven points apiece.
