MANILA, Philippines — It’s “Miller Time” in Taft.
Janti Miller has committed to the La Salle Green Archers after one year with the San Beda Red Lions, he announced on social media Wednesday.
The super scorer led the NCAA in scoring with 20.4 points on 44% shooting, to go with 6.4 rebounds and 1.1 assists per contest for the champion team.
But after what turned out to be his lone season with San Beda, Miller left the Red Lions’ den because he “refuses to play in the NCAA”.
And now, La Salle will definitely have added firepower come UAAP Season 90, as he will sit out UAAP Season 89 for residency.
“Let’s do it. #Commited,” he posted on Instagram.
The wingman, days after winning the NCAA championship, watched a UAAP finals game between La Salle and University of the Philippines, sparking rumors of his departure from San Beda.
He followed the footsteps of La Salle guard Jacob Cortez, who committed to the Green Archers after winning the championship with the Red Lions.
