MM mayors implement shorter curfew from 12a.m. to 4a.m. starting 13 Oct.

Metro Manila Council (MMC) Chairman and Paranaque City Mayor Edwin Olivarez on Tuesday said that the mayors in the National Capital Region (NCR) agreed to shorten the curfew hours from the current 10p.m. to 4a.m to 12 a.m. to 4a.m. starting 13 October 2021.

Olivarez said that the consensus was reached amid the decline in the cases of coronavirus disease (COVID-19) in Metro Manila.

For his part, Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) Chairman Benhur Abalos, Jr. said that the reproduction rate in Metro Manila is now down to 0.61.

“Iyong two-week growth rate noong ito po’y nagsimula noong September 16, ito ay 24.33 [percent], noong October 9, ito ay -41.84 [percent],” Abalos said.
