Motorcycle driver shot dead in Quezon

CANDELARIA, Quezon – A 25-year-old man was shot dead while driving a motorcycle in Purok 4, Barangay Malabanban Sur, this town, on Friday night, July 12.

Police said that the victim John, of Sitio Looban, Barangay Masalukot 1 here was driving a Yamaha Mio motorcycle on the barangay road when a man appeared and shot him.

He sustained multiple bullet wounds and died on the spot.

The suspect fled on foot and police are conducting follow-up investigation.

Meanwhile, a 65-year-old farmer was electrocuted in Sitio Manggahan, Barangay Janagdong 1, Sariaya, Quezon.

The victim Danilo was discovered by his nephew Mhen Andrei Bernabe on Friday morning, July 12, in a grassy area near his house lifeless and holding a live electric wire on his left hand.

The victim sustained electrical burns on his left hand and back and was brought to a funeral parlor for post-mortem examination.

Police said the victim borrowed on Thursday a pair of pliers from his sister to fix his power line to restore electricity in his house.
