It’s getting harder and harder to recruit players in the NIL era, and one way to do that is by pulling out all the stops with your program’s facilities.
In recent years, there’s been something of an arms race as programs try to cook up the biggest and baddest training facilities that college football has to offer.
Now, the Notre Dame Fighting Irish might be taking over the top spot because their new training facility looks more like where the Avengers go about their daily business than a football facility.
They’d be like, “Man, this guy is a little much… but dammit, if he isn’t one hell of a backup punter.”
While this tactic will work on me, it may not work on actual high-level recruits.
But it certainly isn’t going to hurt, and it shows once again that facilities like this don’t just help the current team; they’re a big piece of the puzzle when it comes to bringing in the next generation of talent.
