The lead actors expressed optimism that “Ang Pangarap Kong Oskars” will not remain a distant dream. “Libre naman ang mangarap” (Everyone is free to dream), they remarked.

Wikipedia and Google note that the Philippines has submitted 33 films for consideration at the Academy Awards since 1953 but has never secured a Best International Feature Film nomination. Despite this reality, Contis and Gamboa have kept hope that the prestigious Oscar will be within their reach. They believe that the Philippines, with its wealth of talent comparable to the rising stars in Asian cinema, will eventually be recognized and honored by esteemed award-giving bodies.

All in all, the premiere symbolized the unyielding faith of the Philippine film industry in pursuing artistic justice if such a concept exists in our present universe.

Hope remains eternal that someday, somewhere, vindication will be achieved for their unwavering commitment to recognition.
