The local government of Estancia on Friday, Sept. 16, through Mayor Mary Lynn Mosqueda, announced that it is contributing P30,000 to the P50,000 bounty initially offered on Thursday, Sept. 15, by Mayor Jerry Treñas here.

Unidentified gunmen waylaid the victims, John Paul “JP” Bosque, 28; Chrysler Floyd Fernandes, 27, and Mark Clarence Libao, 24, all residents here, in Barangay Villa Panian.

Their companion, Jebron Parojinog, survived the shooting.

Parojinog told Estancia police that they had P7.5 million in cash inside the vehicle to be handed over to someone as debt payment when they were shot.

Iloilo Gov. Arthur Defensor Jr. did not offer any reward money but called on various units of the Philippine National Police (PNP) to focus on solving the crime and finding the suspects.

The National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) is conducting a parallel probe of the incident. The NBI central office in Manila has ordered the NBI-Western Visayas to hold its own investigation.
