(Eagle News)–President Bongbong Marcos on Monday, May 13, urged the Armed Forces of the Philippines to continue performing its mandate with the Philippines “at the juncture” of its history where it faces “complex security challenges.”
The President made the statement as he led the oath-taking of 39 newly promoted AFP officers in Malacañang.
“There is much still left to do, missions to accomplish, service to be selflessly rendered to the people that we have all sworn to protect with our lives,” he said.
He urged the officials to “be mindful always of the weight that that carries,” adding that effective response to the existing and emerging challenges requires bold thinking and brave action.
“As senior officers in our armed service, may the stars conferred upon you serve as an inspiration in performing your duties with utmost dedication, professionalism, integrity, all worthy of emulation,” he added.
