University of Perpetual Help turned back Letran, 26-24, 25-18, 25-19, Friday to notch its first win in NCAA women’s volleyball at the Paco Arena.

The Lady Altas nailed the coveted victory despite a maze of errors to bounce back from their defeat against the Lyceum Lady Pirates.
The win evened their win-loss record to 1-1.
Mary Rhose Dapol and Charmaine Ocado spearheaded Perpetual with 15 and 12 points while teaming up for 22 of the team’s 34 kills even as Hazel Aldea and Jenny Gaviola chipped in six point each.
The Lady Altas gave up 31 points on errors but stepped up in the crunch to outplay the Lady Knights in one hour and 26 minutes.
They also torched the service lane with eight aces including three from Dapol.
Letran crawled deeper into a 0-2 hole with no players scoring in double figures.
Juline Castro could only manage eight points while Chamberlaine Cunada could only post seven.
