PH dominates Hong Kong in U-18 Women’s Softball Asia Cup

The Philippines blasted Hong Kong, 7-0, to jumpstart its campaign in the Under-18 Women's Softball Asia Cup on Tuesday, August 29, in Fujian Province, China.

The Filipinos opened the game with back-to-back runs in the first inning and peppered their opponent with five more runs in the fourth to book an emphatic win on opening day.

“This is the fruit of all the hard work and effort that the athletes and coaching staff have undergone over the last few months. I hope this will serve as the momentum we need to carry Team Philippines all the way to the finals and that we secure a ticket to the World Cup,” said Amateur Softball Association of the Philippines (Asaphil) president Jean Henri Lhuillier.
