Philippine tennis slated for new home

MANILA, Philippines — A world-class tennis center is set to rise in Vermosa.

Ayala Land Inc. has signed a partnership with the Philippine Tennis Center for Excellence Inc. to develop the International Tennis Center within the Vermosa estate, which will be the home of the Philippine Tennis Academy.

“The partnership aligns PTA’s mission of developing globally competitive Filipino tennis players with Vermosa’s blueprint of an integrated, future-ready community centered on living, learning, and connectivity,” Ayala’s statement read.

The PTA International Tennis Center will have eight tennis competition courts, a center court and 16 pickleball courts.

There will also be dedicated training and wellness facilities, and an athletes’ quarters that can accommodate 60 to 80 trainees.

The tennis center will also be open to the public, aside from being the main training facility of the PTA.

“Vermosa is designed as an integrated estate where education, sports, and community come together,” said John Estacio, Vermosa senior project development head.

“Partnerships like the Philippine Tennis Academy allow us to create long-term value not just for residents, but for the broader community.”

For the PTA, the leadership said it is not just a training facility, but also a “platform for opportunity.”

“By opening our doors beyond our elite program, we are creating a space where every Filipino — regardless of background — can access the sport, discover their potential, and be part of a growing tennis community,” it said.

“Together with Ayala Land, we are building not just future champions, but a stronger, more inclusive sporting culture for the country."
