About 300 people trooped to the venue at North Forbes Park Pavilion to witness the presentation of Profiles Asia Magazine as it officially released its 4th quarterly issue.
The shiny new piece is a compendium of inspirational, motivational— oozing with creativity and love — and generally, fun stories of people that would keep you reading till the last page. For the team not only dwelled on the aesthetics, the colors and arrangement, but more importantly, the paths that the profiles had to take before they came to be their present, successful and interesting selves.
Gracing the cover is His Royal Highness Tomas Cabili Jr; leading the pack with his noble elegance and visionary leadership. Accompanied by his lovely and formidable wife Bai Remy, the Sultan's story (and mission) perfectly sets the tone on how to unlock and appreciate the wisdom behind this whole fourth quarter rebirth issue. Basically, one has to read every single word.
With the editorial team's pens sharply carving thru all the mounds of rich history by all these oh-so-perfect people, distilling everything, creating paragraphs laden with magic and sheer artistry—then later on applying the colors and matching such with the pictures—you are in for a treat and surely must need to rediscover the long lost art of reading for this is not just another one of those “glossy magazines.”
The issues featured artists, of different kinds; genres, murals, miniatures, canvass, gems, clothing and the like. We featured entrepreneurs, visionaries, powerful stories from strong women like that of Lina Bagsic of Cavite or of Dr. Liza Quirolgico of Medical Center Parañaque.
It did not put in the backseat the fuel that fires the theme, their advocacy, through the Aetas of Pampanga. Now they are spreading the love with their collaboration with the St. Scholastica's School of Music. Arguably one of the highest notes of the night, pun intended, was the performance of Battig Chamber Orchestra.
It was truly appreciated everyone's coming in dressed to slay, it made the writers grasp for words better than the usual beautiful. But much more, it was appreciated that everyone journeying with them through the wonderful stories of their featured profiles.
